Having decided to go self
employed earlier this year one of the main issues is
what is the best way to advertise my business.
Having a limited budget it is vitally important to
get the best return for my money, having tried
various publications and internet ads, I decided to
try the effective directories, it is a glossy and
colourful publication that is always sat next to the
telephone and a great source of reference for pretty
much anything you might require from local
business’s, an advert in one of the larger national
directories is far more expensive and is lost
amongst countless other competitors, I chose a half
page colour add in all three of the directories,
this was designed by Andrea from a brief which I
gave her and looked very impressive. From the first
day that the directories were delivered my phone was
ringing with enquiries, I am absolutely amazed at
the response I get from the adverts which account
for more than all the other advertising I use
combined add to that the personal recommendations
that I receive from customers who have initially
used my service through the effective directories to
there friends and colleagues then the adds are
extremely great value for money, I have found Andrea
very pleasant and helpful to deal with and wish her
every success in the future.

Being a small new business,
advertising locally was essential, I have advertised
now with the directory for the past year, and I have
to say that we have had an increase in our sales and
interest in the shop, feedback that I receive from
customers say they saw my advert in the directory
